I, Victoria Basak, am a 2nd-year student at the International Business School Vatel of Moscow. Words cannot describe how thankful I am to Vatel, and of course my beloved parents, for providing me such a great opportunity to travel the world which is my all-time dream. Already been to over 10 countries and had an amazing chance to grow up in the United Arab Emirates, specifically Dubai, the hub of tourism, I was so inspired by the different cultures and traditions which left me eager to explore the world as much as possible and learn even more of what I already may or may not know. Last year, I spent my entire summer in Antibes, France. Nestled between glitzy Nice and Cannes, the resort town of Antibes is known for two things: multi-million-dollar mega yachts and a maze-like Old Town encased by 16th-century ramparts. It is the cultural heart of the Côte d'Azur. I was there for my internship, but of not only. Apart from gaining knowledge in the process of work in a hotel, I was also able to meet different nationalities and obtain a greater understanding of their views of life and their languages. Every step of my journey with Vatel is filled with pleasurable adventures and endless knowledge. I am proud to be a Vatelian!
